Gresham College receives no government funding and is only able to provide its programme of free public lectures, seminars and conferences because of the unstinting generosity of its supporters. The City of London Corporation and the Mercers’ Company have been generous benefactors of the College and we owe an enormous debt of gratitude to them and to the many other individuals and organisations whose sponsorship and financial contributions enable us to continue to give those who live and work in London the opportunity to attend our educational and cultural events.
It is a joy to hear from some of our audience members how Gresham College has benefited them; sometimes for example by igniting an interest in a particular subject which they later go on to pursue in depth, resulting in a completely new and more enjoyable career. Many just give because they have enjoyed attending Gresham College events over the years and have decided that now is the time to give something back to help others to benefit.
We are immensely grateful to each of our supporters, whether they have donated a small amount or a major gift. Every donation is put towards enhancing our academic programme. By making a gift you can show your commitment to the continued existence of the free public lectures of Gresham College and make a positive impact on the lives of London residents and workers.
If you would like to make a donation or discuss giving through a legacy, please contact the Registrar on 020 7831 0575 (registrar@gresham.ac.uk) or write to Gresham College, Barnard’s Inn Hall, Holborn, London EC1N 2HH.
